Project
Rhotia's students are primarily Secondary School children who attend Secondary
Schools near or around the Karatu, Arusha district of Tanzania. Most of our
students come from families that earn an income from small businesses or farming
within the Rhotia community. Families from this region often struggle with
small necessities like food, clothing, housing and school fees. Many must get
help from their neighbors and/or from the government to support their needs.
Our
students overall do quite well in school, where they study Chemistry, Biology,
Physics, Civics, Kiswahili, English, History, Geography, Mathematics and
Agriculture.
Our students are eager to communicate with private sponsors and/or partnership schools in different parts of the world to learn from one another and practice their communication skills.
